Certifications
Six PDM domains, six certification levels, 44 paths. Every certification is earned through demonstrated skill, not memorization. From foundational knowledge to organizational leadership.
The Planetary Defense Model organizes cybersecurity into six domains. Each domain has its own certification path from M0 Sentry through M5 Commander.
The vault. What you're protecting.
The walls. Where attackers probe.
The garrison. Daily operations.
The gates. Who gets in.
The scouts. What's coming.
The command tent. Strategic oversight.
Each level represents a real capability tier. Certifications are domain-specific, meaning you earn them per PDM domain.
Entry-level certification. Proves foundational knowledge of a PDM domain. Unlocks CDArmy Sentry tier and access to M1 courses.
Operational certification. Demonstrates hands-on ability to use security tools and follow procedures. Unlocks Operator tier missions.
Analysis certification. Proves ability to investigate, assess, and report. Lab completion required (30% of score). Unlocks Analyst tier.
Engineering certification. Demonstrates ability to design and build security systems. Requires lab completion (35% of score).
Architecture certification. Proves ability to design multi-system security programs. Lab assessment is 40% of the final score.
The highest domain-level certification. Requires leadership of a live-fire simulation and completion of the 96-hour capstone. Lab is 50% of score.
Achieve Commander (M5) certification in all six PDM domains. The Eagle Standard is the highest achievement in cybersecurity certification, reserved for those who have demonstrated mastery across every dimension of defense. It is the prerequisite for CDA Crew membership.
